To be held under the General Competition Rules of the Motorsport Ireland (Incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the F.I.A.). Appendix 86 of the current Motorsport Ireland Yearbook & these Supplementary Regulations.

Entry Fee: €100 – Cheques etc. made payable to: Connacht Motor Club (Sligo) Ltd. Entry Fee includes C.P.A. at the standard rate. I.R.D.S. does not apply to this event.

Scrutiny starts at 8.30 am at the venue - Lagan Asphalt, Aughamore, Carraroe, Sligo (N54* 23.646 - W08* 45.110).Approx 4km from Sligo on the R287 Dromahair Road. Exit Dual Carriageway @ Junction S2. Scrutiny Finishes 10.30 am sharp.

Familiarisation: will start at 10.15 am sharp & will consist of one untimed lap. Familiarisation will end at 10.45 am. Any competitor failing to make themselves available for one untimed run by 10.45 am. forfeits practice.

* Cars competing in Classes 6, 7 & 8 must conform to Article 31 of Appendix 82 per the 2016 M.I. Yearbook
Classes may be amalgamated if less than 5 entries are received in a particular class.

Competition

The event will consist of 3 timed runs. Each run will be of 4 laps of the track.
Competitors not following the course as set-out will be subject to a 10 second penalty for each infringement. Penalty of 5 seconds applies for moving course barrels. Overtaking is not allowed.

Any competitor who feels he/she has been baulked/delayed by another competitor can request a re-run but must do so immediately on returning to the paddock and in any event before his/her next timed run. The C.O.C. may or may not grant this at their discretion.

Tyres Optional (ie. Rallycross / Gravel / tarmac) No Studded Tyres allowed.
Specials / Single Seaters not allowed
Passengers are not allowed to be carried on this event.
Competition cars are not to leave the confines of the site under their own power for any reason. Penalty for infringement - exclusion of that competitor.
First Car Away 11.00 am.

Timing/Results

Timing will be to the nearest 1/100th second from a standing start to a flying finish. Results will be based on a competitor’s combined fastest time(s) for 2 out of their 3 runs (or 2 out of 4 runs, as appropriate) plus penalties. If a competitor fails to register a time for a run, then a stage max time of 5 mins. will be applied. To qualify for an award or as a finisher a competitor must have completed at least two of his/her three timed runs. The Competitor with the overall fastest time (incl. penalties) from his/her best 2 runs will be the winner.

Overall winner does not qualify for a class award.

If a driver has a re-run because of a timing failure, any penalties incurred will not carry forward to the re-run. If he has a re-run for any other reason, any penalty incurred during the original run shall be carried forward to the re-run.

Awards

1st Overall. 1st 2nd 3rd in each Class (provided there are 4 or more starters), Junior Award & Ladies Award. To qualify as a Junior, a competitor must be aged 25 or under on January 1st, 2016. One award only per competitor with the priority for allotment of awards being Overall, Junior, Class, Ladies.

The Club reserves the right to postpone, cancel or abandon the event or any part thereof. In the event of any or all of the foregoing options being implemented, no competitor or entrant shall have the right to claim against the club in respect of any loss he may occur. In the event of cancellation only, but not otherwise, entry fees will be refunded
